PCED Goals

Goal 1

Provide the Texas Rural community College Network (TRCCN) a forum for collaboration and cooperation where they can meet and work together to develop new and unique partnerships for the development of workforce and technical education and training programs to enhance their ability to participate in statewide initiatives, innovative programs, and other critical areas of interest.

Goal 2

Disseminate and demonstrate the applicability of Rural Entrepreneurship Support Network (RESN) courses to the community college collaborative, to economic development professionals, and to community leaders and other allies for educational purposes for community resource and economic development and for community capacity building to utilize entrepreneurship in economic development.

Goal 3

Continue to develop linkages and expose TRCCN colleges to the economic and rural development efforts provided through the Rural Community College Alliance (RCCA), Rural community College Initiative, the Southern Rural Development Center, the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences of the Texas A & M Extension Services.

Goal 4


The Texas Rural Community College Network (TRCCN) will plan, develop, and implement a regional economic development summit that may be used as a model for replication in other parts of the state.

Seek to promote continued communication, cooperation, collaboration and resource sharing among Texas Rural Community College Network, TRCCN.
